Some of you might be interested in what equipment I use for this website and my pictures.
So here we go:
I use a late 2016 touchbar MacBook pro which is besides of the hardrive fully specced up ( I bought it with basically 25% of the Irish/German price here at the good folks at KRCS ). I did have to utilise Parcel Motel to get it to the Republic of Ireland though.

I do no longer have a windows partition on it. I do have Adobe Elements, Lightroom, Office 365, Grammarly and Final Cut Pro. For Screenshots and screen recordings I employ Snagit and Camtasia.
Storage is via Google Drive, Dropbox, Office 365 and my Amazon Prime (UK or DE) or for the US based among you: Try Amazon Prime 30-Day Free Trial
I do use a lot of times my iPhone 6s+ for my Instagram pictures, but also heavily use a Canon 60D, in combination with a Rhode mic, an Eye-Fi SD card, several lenses from Canon and Sigma. All of which I obtained during the last 15 Years. Among them an 18-135 mm STM from Canon, a Sigma 70-300 mm APO DG, timeworn 28mm Canon 2.8, and some Canon kit lenses with STM. I also have a 430 EX II flash, and for some artsy stuff, I recently acquired an LOMO’Instant (great fun) at the MOMA (read about my visit to MOMA here). I also carry a few batteries and other smaller accessories like Polaroid UV Filters for the lenses. I might later put up some Amazon links if I figure out their affiliate process for all of this stuff if you are interested in buying anything and supporting me a bit.
I do carry all of this around with me in an ancient but trusted Lowepro Fastpack BP 250, which I unfortunately will have to replace shortly…
I also have cleaning kits and other smaller accessories, as I always also carry around a Multitool from Victorinox.
Also keep in mind you want to have covers for your microphones, and lenses, and additional it is also a good idea to have different tripods, and for the lenses lens hoods. You also will need external nd extra batteries, boxes for those, USB drives, and sd card readers. Most of these will have to be redundant, so you will want to have at least two sd card readers, several sd, and micro sd cards, etc.
That pretty much sums it up, so nothing fancy and most of the equipment will be used for years until it is broken. I will probably acquire an Ipad Pro in the future with a pencil but am waiting for an update (hopefully in March).
If you want to buy any equipment and want to support me and German-Irish Ramblings, I’d appreciate of you use one of the following links from Amazon, even if you click on one of these and then order other stuff this will support the blog and enable me to do more tech reviews and other articles. If you want to buy some of the mentioned software, and can hold off a bit there as well, there will be affiliate links for these as well.
Here you will find links to the stuff (or its newer and updated version) I use:
